Question: I have some dents on one side of my face 8 weeks after facelift surgery. It’s very depressing to see these. Will they go away or is it possible they’re permanent?
Answer: Contour irregularities can occur following facelift surgery and do not necessarily need to cause alarm because many times they will resolve on their own. During a facelift, several maneuvers are performed that can lead to the appearance of “dents” or “bumps” after the surgery. At 8 weeks, there will still be some swelling present, so the final result of the facelift would not be known at this point.
