Question:
How long is the recovery time for a facelift? What sort of painkillers will I be given after the surgery?
Answer:
Typical recovery time after a facelift is approximately 2 weeks. During this time, it is usually recommended that you not subject yourself to any strenuous activity which could put you at a higher risk of bleeding and wound healing complications. After 2 weeks, most patients are able to return to usual activities. There usually is only mild pain, but we do give medication such as Vicodin in case there is significant discomfort.
