Question:
I had a hair transplant and am beginning to see new hair in the frontal area. I’m close to six months post op now. This hair looks very sparse and I’m starting to get worried. Can I expect the hair to get fuller or will it just get longer and continue to be sparse?
Answer:
The situation you describe is likely to be the case. Although a few more hairs might emerge from the transplant session, the hair will just become longer if you do not cut it. However, greater length results in more volume and if the hair can be styled with greater length , it will look fuller. More than likely you may want another hair transplant session to get more density.
