Question:
You always hear about donor hair being taken from the back of the scalp. But is it possible to take it from the side of the head instead? What are the pros and cons of this?
Answer:
Grafts can certainly be taken from the side of the head above the ears if necessary. It really just depends on how many grafts you require and the laxity of the scalp. Sometimes density of hair at the back of the head and above the ears also dictates the best areas for taking grafts.
