Question:
The right side of my nose looks much more swollen than the left side at 8 weeks post op. I had some slight asymmetry of my tip prior to surgery but now it looks even worse. Is this normal and will the swelling continue to fade so that my nose looks symmetrical? How long should this take?
Answer:
It is normal to have swelling and asymmetries of the nose after rhinoplasty especially at only 8 weeks since surgery. Although it should continue to improve, swelling can be present in the nose for 6 months to a year before you see the final result. Discuss your concerns with your doctor.
