Question: How long does the swelling after a revision rhinoplasty surgery last for?
Answer: While most of the swelling following rhinoplasty resolves within 1-2 months following surgery, there will still be a mild amount of swelling for several additional months before the final result can be realized. The swelling can be even more prolonged following a revision rhinoplasty due to increased amounts of scar tissue in the area. Generally, revisions are not recommended for at least one year after a previous rhinoplasty to allow for complete resolution of swelling.
