Question: My rhinoplasty surgery was three years ago and I still have some small lumps and bumps in my nasal tip. Can these be fixed?
Answer: Contour deformities can occur following rhinoplasty, especially in patients with very thin skin. In the nasal tip, this is usually due to irregularities of the nasal cartilage in this area. After 3 years, swelling from the surgery will have resolved, so these deformities would be considered permanent. They can usually be corrected with a revision surgery however. The nose should be evaluated by an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon to come up with a plan for revision.
